Local Legend Declares Their Giratina Team has Broken the Meta... Goes X-5.

Ever try to build an original team and get completely destroyed by players who just use what's in the meta? Well, local VGC legend Jimmy King can relate! When asked about what Jimmy would be running at the Autumn Nebraska MSS, Jimmy let us know exactly why his team would beat any "stupid meta team". Before explaining, Jimmy King let us know that his team was unbeatable when he tested it with his friends during lunch at school. "I'm so good that they call me 'Gallade King'! That's why I changed my in game name to that!".

Jimmy explained to us that his giratina "was the strongest one any of (his) friends had ever seen". The team revolves around choice scarf tapu fini swaggering giratina so dragon claw and phantom force do a lot of damage. "Giratina is already super bulky so I just trained it to have max special attack and max attack, that way hex will do more when I click it versus a burned opponent", Jimmy explained. "Choice scarf is really good on tapu fini because it lets me always outspeed my giratina and knock off opposing xerneas's power herbs... It's totally over-powered". Jimmy then went on to explain that his team wouldn't be any good without his trusty gallade. "Gallade has been by my side since I conquered the Sinnoh league. he's my strongest pokemon and I owe many victories to him".

We caught up with Jimmy King after the tournament to see how well he performed. Jimmy explained that he faced (and lost to) a lot of over-powered xerneas/groudon teams, and just as many kyogre/yveltal teams. "Player's who use what's in the meta just care about winning! They don't understand the true meaning of Pokemon!", Jimmy exclaimed". When asked how Jimmy would improve his team to perform better at the next event he had this to say: "I'm going to train even harder now! I've been watching all of Verlisify's competitive guide videos to help me understand how to play better. I know that with is help and my trust in my pokemon, I can be the world champion someday! I'll beat every hacking scumbag that says I can't! If anyone want's to talk smack, we can settle it on the battlefield. Find me in Verlis's discord server!".

Regardless on Jimmy's performance, we think it's clear that we have quite the motivated and ambitious competitor.
