The Moxie Boosted Summer Showdown is a 2 stage VGC tournament. The purpose of this tournament is to support the MoxieBoosted.com by raising money to keep the site hosted. This tournament is also an opportunity for VGC players to get best of 3 practice with the incentive of cash prizes.

How to Enter:

1. Sign up for the tournament on Challonge. The Page will be embedded below.

2. Pay the entry fee of $4 to Marcos Perez via Paypal. The payment should have a memo explaining who it is from and that it is for the tournament. All entrants that have not paid the entry fee will be removed from the tournament prior to it's start.

Details:

-Players must pay $4 to Marcos Perez via Paypal in order to participate. Those who do not will not be permitted to compete. The payment should have a memo explaining who it is from and that it is for the tournament.

-30% of the total money received from entry fees will be put towards keeping MoxieBoosted.com online and ad free.

-The remaining 70% will be split up between the top 3 as a cash prize. 

-The tournament will have 2 parts: Round Robin and Single Elimination Top Cut.

-The Players will the best records in Round Robin will proceed to top cut. 

-The number of people in top cut will be decided after tournament entries have been finalized. 

 

Rules:

-Players must check-in before the tournament begins. Check-ins begin 1 hour prior. 

-Players must abide by standard VGC 2018 rules and therefore must download that rule set on cartridge to compete in this tournament. 

-All matches will be best of 3.

-Any players reportedly acting in ways that people may consider disrespectful will be issued one warning. If they continue they will be eliminated from the tournament. 

 

Prizes:

1st Place: 40% of the money pool (total entry fee), as well as having their team featured on MoxieBoosted.com.

2nd Place: 20% of the money pool.

3rd Place: 10% of the money pool.
