I love Perish Trap, its one of my favorite strats but the issue is that at team select it's a little "Too Obvious". You see a Gengar, Goth, Azu/Poli the opponent is going to prep hard for it! One of the most slept on Trappers is Power of Alchemy Muk. Highly inspired by JacktheBattler's video (https://youtu.be/uTVcLWCWtmY) I wanted to create around Muk while keeping a core that would allow you to Switch up strats in a 3 Game Situation.
Gengar is your Setter of the Perish, and handles Ghost Types like Aegislash. Although it cannot OHKO on it's adds pressure. Oh and don't forget Ally Switch, it can get you out of horrible situations (IE, a Belly Drummed Snorlax aiming for your Partner).
Alolan Muk is there to take the sacrifice of your Gengar and keep the trap going OR take Azumarill's Huge Power and DOULBE it's attack stat! In a situation that you're not pressured on the last turn of Trapping, set up a Curse for even more fun! And the ZMove is there to deal with Lele. Lele ruins this team hardcore!
Azumarill is there to be your out just in case your trap collapses. I usually send it out in the last turn of trapping where the opponent has to make a decision, Allow Azu to setup or Sac off their Pokemon. It's up to them and at that point (if they don't have a Lele) you should have a clean sweep.
Tapu Bulu is there to provide that much needed Grassy Terrain for mostly Lando/Excadrill EQs. It has a choice band to OHKO any Tapu (even without Terrain) with a powerful Wood Hammer. Also a lot of Players have Zard and Cress on the same team, it's important that if you Trick your Opponent to TRing (since you have a TON of speed with Gengar) you have Rock Slide to go for Flinches or take out Zards.
Kommo-o is Kommo-o. As long as they don't have a Tapu or Fairy, you just send it and DESTROY! Sometimes it's good to send out Gengar next to the Clang Boii just to give your opponent and Ultimatum let me set up some boosts, or take this YOUNG Perish, plus it's soundproof so there is no pressure for you to switch. So you can even stall with some Subs up!
Hitmontop. Probably the most basic member of a Perish Trap Team, with Eject Button to get yourself some switch Advantage, as well as put a plug on Tapu Koko Volt Switch/Incin Uturn. Helps you stall out hard. And you can helping hand your partner to get some CLUTCH KO's since Gengar has NO Sp. Atk Investments. Feint is there to just bait some protects just in case they're afraid of Azu, or get a 5050 call of Fake Out/Feint.
So in full. Perish Trap by itself, is pretty bad, and this team creates Options. Generally if I see a Lele/opposing Gengar/Pokemon with Switch moves, setting up the Trap is good, but not having to depend on it for KOs is pretty nice since you have so many options outside of just Trapping Hard.
But anyway hope you enjoy, feel free to try and give me some findings. I'm always working on some Perish Trap Shenanigans ;)
DISCLAIMER: These are the teams BIGGEST Threats, they can be dealt with with some good play and use of all your options.
Lele, Komm-o, Gengar, Ageislash, Mimikyu, Kartana, Charizard-Y, Naganadel, Koko
